Leialoha + Jon Shared their wedding day at the stunning Dillingham Ranch—a secluded wedding venue that sits at the end of a dirt road.

Leialoha and her family truly took the wedding day into their own hands with a bunch of incredible DIY projects. To start Lei arranged all of the flowers including all of the bouquets and they looked beautiful!

She wore a simple ballgown with layers of tulle and her amazing sparkly veil was made from her high school prom dress! Her entourage dressed in adorable mint green dresses and helped her prepare for her big day! Jon wore a grey suit and their dog ‘Booger’ was there to keep him company in his getting ready suit.

Lei’s dad hand built their adorable hexagon shaped arch and they used it as a unique way to display their 1000 cranes—a Japanese tradition which symbolizes that you show extreme patience, fortitude, and commitment which are all important traits for a healthy marriage. Cranes are also believed to mate for life. They had wooden benches with more of Lei’s beautiful florals lining the aisle beside them.

We scored some amazing light and flares during their portrait time and had so much fun capturing the two of them!

Their reception site was probably our favorite thing they had created that day! It was absolutely incredible! Her family built and stained all three of their wooden canopy’s which they then draped with white. They also strung fairy lights throughout the site and showed off more florals on each of the large farm reception tables. They even had wooden chiavari chairs. Their guests got to go home with 2 very special favors—one was a mason jar mug with a boba straw for the boba bar they had present, along with a hand made coaster with each guests name, also made by Lei.

They enjoyed touching speeches and everyone giggled and Lei’s maid of honor talked about how Lei had, had a crush on Jon when they were just kids. Finally dancing as husband and wife beneath the beautiful fairy lights above them. It was truly a beautiful day and what made it so much more special was the fact that they made almost all of it as a family!
