08 Sep Chastine + Shane | 08.11.19 | Sunset Ranch Hawaii
Chastine + Shane are an adorable couple who have been together for years. The love they share is so true and it warms our hearts to see the chemistry between these two. They decided that they wanted their wedding day to take place at Sunset Ranch Hawaii. This place is awesome for so many reasons including the fact that it’s so seclusive resting at the very top of Pupukea. From the endless grassy fields to the stunning barn and cottages this is a venue we can’t get enough of and when they let us know this was the place they picked we were so excited to go back!
We began the day exploring and capturing all of Chastine’s pretty little details around the venue. Her bouquet included roses, succulents, and unique touches of Scabiosa Pods which added to the rustic vibe.
Shane wore a navy blue suit for his special day. His brother helped him in to his jacket. He kept things true to himself by pairing the look with some converse. His tie had an awesome floral pattern accented with the same navy blue tones.
Chastine took advantage of one of the bigger getting ready suites offered at Sunset Ranch which they call the chapel and we loved how the light shined in to the bright white room. Her makeup artists did a beautiful job with a neutral smokey eye look on her! She picked out a gorgeous gown that had a lace top and lots of soft, flowy layers. Her sister helped to zip her in to her gown and she paired the look with pretty gold heels from Betsey Johnson!
Chastine + Shane chose to say ‘I do’ beneath the trees of the fern garden. We love this particular spot and their guests definitely enjoyed the shade it provided for them too! They had a beautiful circular wooden sign with gold mirrored wording welcoming their guests to their wedding. Chastine also handmade fans for her guests to grab before entering their ceremony site to keep them cool. Their arch was made of bamboo and they had white draping wrapped around the base. Layered on top of that were gorgeous full floral arrangements featuring the same types of flowers as her bouquet. The aisle was lined with white rose petals.
Chastine’s mom and dad both walked her down the aisle and Shane was waiting for her already full of emotion. Their officiant Mark Kurnow said some wonderful words to commence their ceremony and then handed the mic over to Shane so that he could share his personal vows to his gorgeous bride. Overwhelmed with love and history he shed some tears and and got choked up. After a few attempts to start Chastine told him ‘it’s okay, just look at my forehead’ encouragingly and he was able to say some sweet words to his soon to be wife. Next it was Chastine’s turn and she made her own promises to him. Without further ado their officiant pronounced them husband and wife and told them they have to kiss as long as he can blow his conch shell. He even joked he held the world record! He blew so long that their kiss included a couple breaks of laughter as their guests cheered them on! From there they proceeded back down the aisle hand in hand with smiles spread from ear to ear!
They left their guests alone for some time to enjoy some cocktails while they came with us to shoot the photos with those few special people they had chosen to be a part of their wedding party. The groomsmen had more of a casual look with button ups and bowties–no jackets! They also each had their own maile leis. The ladies wore beautiful forest green dresses that looked absolutely stunning with all the nature surrounding them!
Next up it was time for all the special photos of the two of them! We had lots of fun playing with Chastine’s beautiful veil from tossing it to covering them with it.
We snuck away once more to capture photos while the sun set and it was absolutely stunning! They enjoyed these little moments together still full of excitement that they were finally married!
They decided to have their reception in the beautiful barn! This place truly makes all of our rustic dreams come true! They displayed their seating chart on an adorable paneled board draped in maile. Their party favors were in an adorable box with a little leaf detail and twine. The florals were gorgeous and the piece on their head table had lots of eucalyptus leaves cascading out. The chandeliers pulled everything together perfectly!
They enjoyed a sweet reception where they danced for the first time as husband and wife, listened to sweet speeches from their favorite people, and ended their evening with a gorgeous sparkler exit. Their guests cheered as their newlywed friends ran through the twinkly lights! It was such an amazing day!
